Joe is an experienced jazz performer and leader of many adult musical ensembles. After musical training in England, including hundreds of performances, dozens of recordings and tours with the (UK) National Youth Jazz Orchestra, (UK) Youth Jazz Orchestra North, the Durham Youth Jazz Orchestra, Joe worked as a professional musician aboard cruise ships for a number of years.
Joe came to Canada in 2003. Since moving to Victoria in 2009, he has become a respected and busy member of the musical performing and teaching communities. Recent gigs have included as pianist for the Langham Court Theatre production of ” The Mystery of Edwin Drood “, alto sax with ‘Queenie and the Groove Kings’, clarinet with ‘Dave Lang and the Insolent Rabble’, flute for the musical ‘Into the Woods’, and accompanist for Royal Conservatory of Music exams.
